Questions on Endura-Craft Square Non-Tapered Smooth Column
- From Kyle at 6/21/10 11:07 AM
- If I was wanting to cut out some of the column for an outlet, how would I fasten the outlet in the column to make sure that it does not move?
- You would need to do some prep before you started your install. You need to order a column will have a big enough Inside Diameter so that you could fit your post and your junction box inside of the column.
Then once you have the columns at your house you need to start before you install the column. Cut your hole and run the power into the box first then install the columns of the post.
If you get a chance you should email pictures of your products installed.

- Can you cut off the capital and base? I only need the 10" shaft at 9' to match an existing pair.
- Our square columns ship with the capital and base unattached. You can then trim the column to your exact height, and then use the capital and base to cover up your cut.

- Can I screw in a flag pole attachment?
- The material itself is not recommended to attach large or heavy items to it. However, if you wanted to attach a flag pole bracket to the column, you could attach a piece of wood on to the support post that is inside the column that will be touching the inside part of the column. You could then secure your pole bracket through the column and into the wooden piece.
